GLOOP, BLORP, GLOOP.

I wish I had a trophy

some ups, some downs.

First off, I don't know what happened to my pink marker. I was trying to do a delicate pink line to hint at my pinky-red glasses and instead I got GLOOP, BLORP, GLOOP. (It was basically this Jell-O mold, excitedly slithering away.)

(I could fix it in post, but I have definitely learned that the more perfect I try to make something, the more it ensures I will then never get around to doing more of that thing (because now the standards are Too! High!), so that's a slippery slope. That is also why I don't pencil these in first. However, I do occasionally take a reference photo, including this time of my butt.)

Anyway, I think this comic tells you all you need to know about my week. But I did just watch all of The Residence (on Netflix) with friends and it was a TOTAL DELIGHT. It is a Shondaland mystery-comedy-drama set at a state dinner at the White House, among both the guests and staff. Much of the inspiration for the staff information and dynamics came from this non-fiction book by Kate Andersen Brower, which I had been wanting to read and have now put on my Libby library holds.

Anyway, fabulous cast full of delightfully funny people, and I really enjoyed the pacing--it was lightning-fast farce speed, but I felt it remained firmly in a clever and witty, let's have fun solving a mystery zone, without going over-the-top into silly-land. Big fan of the Sherlock/Watson dynamic duo of Uzo Aduba and Randall Park. Will watch them solve many more mysteries.
