I didn't want to talk much about it so I wouldn't jinx it. But.....I started a new book at the beginning of September and I already have 55K words (!?!) so I'm finally a little less worried. I'm currently up to some muddle-in-the-middle bits, which is a place I always bog down and then dig myself out, repeatedly--but I am well aware of that process, thankfully!!

This is a story about an overworked mom who gets some magical help to do everything on her schedule. (I know, I know, however did I come up with that concept.) So as you can imagine, it is both Wish Fulfillment, and Highly Cathartic. (Every time something bonkers happens to my calendar...I just give it a quarter-turn and put it in the book! Win.)

The best part is that it is (hopefully, presumably) a Very Funny book and I am having a blast writing it (which 100% accounts for me being so far along.) There's all kinds of things I want to excerpt for you but they're either full of spoilers or are built on long-running jokes.

One random non-spoilery bit I got to write recently was just coming up with ridiculous romance titles, which gave me The Alpha Millionaire Fireman's Secret Vampire Baby, Seduced by her Girlboss, Her Red-Hot Sexxxy Werewolf Lover Pack, and finally, the one our heroine finally chooses to read a bit of– The Widow and the Rake: a Late-in-Life Swoony Regency Romance (HEA, #feelgood, NO STRESS)

(H/T to fantasy romance author extraordinaire Stephanie Burgis for suggesting the addition of "Vampire" to that first title. :D )

Anyway, words are being written! Progress is being made! And while my schedule continues bonkers it is all Grist for the Mill!

More to come, xo tina
