tiny paintings of cats
I have TWO art fairs coming up this weekend!

It's nice when you can just doodle all your test cats right on the cardboard that is preventing your table from getting paint all over it. I'm still exploring different kinds of cat faces. Noses? No noses? Tiny smiles? And also, that is a carrot cat toy next to the middle cat, not (as my 11yo says) a cat that pooped out a carrot. I understand the confusion.

I have TWO art fairs coming up this weekend!!! They are both in SW Portland (sorry non-Portlanders!!!). One is at the Multnomah Arts Center, and runs Friday May 2, 9-8 and Sat May 3, 9-4. The other is at Rieke Elementary School and runs Sunday May 4, 9-2:30. (At the MAC everyone takes turns working shifts, so I will be at MAC on Friday morning. For Rieke I'll be there the whole time.)
I will have all kinds of things, including these tiny cat canvases, prints, dangly spring ornaments, earrings, and cards! (And at Rieke I will also have some books!)
Just LOOK how pretty the setup is!!! I'm so delighted. I used to do loads of fairs during the decade I worked as a face painter, but the last few months have been the first time I've branched out into doing this kind of art fair. I'm really interested to learn more about the differences (I suspect most of my clientele won't be shrieking EEE FACE PAINTING!!!) but you never know.

I'm hoping to eventually be able to offer prints and things online as well (!) so that is my future goal.
If you happen to be nearby, I'd love to see you! Both fairs are absolutely stuffed with talented artists and I have bought MANY a thing from each one over the years. And now I will IN-FIL-I-TRATE (as my children say). Go forth, be brave, and level up. Wish me luck!!!

PS because I know a couple of you will want to know that I matted a Robot & Kittycat cartoon :D
